You asked and you shall receive! On the first day of Baselworld, Arthur and I talked through some of the new watches from Rolex, but we didn’t get to the new pair of Sky-Dwellers, references 326934 and 326933. The Sky-Dweller is big, bold, and certainly a little polarizing. Now we’ve got a stainless steel version and a two-tone steel and yellow gold version, making this watch more approachable than ever.
First things first, what is the Sky-Dweller? The Sky-Dweller was first introduced in 2012. It was (and still is) the most complicated modern watch produced by cheap replica Rolex. It is powered by the caliber 9001, an annual calendar with dual-time capabilities, which can be set by the crown, using the rotating bezel to change functions. It measures 42mm and with that shiny fluted bezel, it is quite the statement piece. It has previously only been produced in precious metals, such as Everose, yellow, and white gold. This year that changes.
The new Sky-Dweller is available in two versions of what Rolex calls Rolesor – essentially this just means that there is some combination of gold and steel components. It’s a bit confusing though in this case, as the reference 326933 features a steel case, yellow gold bezel, yellow gold crown, and yellow gold center bracelet links, while the reference 326934 is all steel except for the bezel, which is 18k white gold. For all intents and purposes, you can think of these as a steel version and a two-tone steel and gold version, jargon aside.
While technically these are the same watches as previous Sky-Dwellers, the dials have been updated for the new models. The hands are longer and the indexes are now applied rectangular indexes. There are several dial options for each model, including white, blue, and dark grey for the steel version, and white, gold, and dark grey for the two-tone model. These small updates give the replica Rolex watches Sky-Dweller watches UK a fresh look and make it appear much lighter. It is nice to see one of the bolder watches in the room quiet down a bit, and I think it will go a long way with collectors.
Speaking of buying, how much are these two new Sky-Dwellers? As you may have guessed, the introduction of steel to the collection makes these much more approachable. The new two-tone model will retail for $17,150 and the steel model for $14,400 – for comparison, the luxury fake 18k white gold Sky-Dweller costs $37,000 on a strap and $48,000 on a bracelet.
